The Budget Process

The Diocesan Budget process begins in the spring with the Ways & Means Committee working with the Board of Directors to create a draft discussion budget. During the late summer this draft discussion budget is made available for review and comments. After considering this input and updated information, the Board of Directors approves a proposed budget at their September meeting that is presented to delegates for approval at Diocesan Convention in October.

This 2027 Draft Budget for Discussion provides both a narrative and the actual budget numbers. It is available now for your discussion and comment. Please send comments to financialoffice@iowaepiscopal.org OR plan to attend the Fall Convocations Meeting on Saturday, August 22 at 9:00 AM to get your questions answered and provide feedback. You must register to receive the Zoom link prior to joining the meeting. The Ways & Means Committee and the Board of Directors will consider the information received prior to and at the Convocations meeting to create an updated budget for approval at diocesan convention.

The Proposed Budget to the Convention will be available in mid-September.
