Applications Open for International Development Grants

Annually, the One World, One Church Commission of our diocese invites congregations in the Episcopal Diocese of Iowa and/or members supported by their congregation to submit a grant with an international development focus or component. International (Sustainable) Development Mini-Grants funded over the last 20+ years have represented a diverse set of priorities seeking to end hunger, promote reconciliation and peace, and to help enable people to live with a renewed sense of dignity and hope

The updated application and information regarding this year's grants for International Development are available on the diocesan web site. Go to the Mission and Ministry tab and look under "Companion Diocese" to find more information. These grants originated with the Millennium Development Goals back early in this century.

Despite the fact that the IDG mini-grant information is with information about our Companions, these grants may be requested for projects that are outside these Companion relationships.

By diocesan policy, the amount to be granted each year is 1% of the total budget for that calendar year.  This year, that amount is $13,161. If you need more information or have any questions, please reply to minigrants@iowaepiscopal.org, to connect with Paula Sanchini or Kathleen Milligan who serve as contacts for the mini-grants on behalf of the diocesan One World, One Church Commission.
