Iowa Youth Back from Youth Program at General Convention 2009
[Jul 14] Ten youth and two adults returned on July 13 from the Episcopal Youth Event at General Convention. The five days spent in Anaheim, CA included getting to know youth from other Dioceses, working on a Habitat for Humanity project, visiting General Convention, worship at the Crystal Cathedral, and Disneyland. The youth that represented Iowa were Bob Bjorklund, Graham Klemme, Carl Sessions, Michael Greve, Elizabeth Matus, Jenna Guy, Jared Poppelwell, Maddy Losby, Michael Roe, and Hannah Powell.

The diocesan-approved child abuse prevention education and training,
Safeguarding God's Children, is required for all who regularly work with or around children or youth. All vestry members and clergy must be trained as well. Contact any of the
certified trainers to set up a training.
