Diocesan Trainings

 

Safeguarding God's Children Training

The diocesan approved child abuse prevention education and training, Safeguarding God’s Children, is required for all church personnel who regularly work with or around children or youth. Contact any of the certified trainers to set up your own training event, or check out the events calendar to see if a Safeguarding God's Children training is already scheduled near you.

            Coming this spring, Safeguarding God’s Children training will be available online. Individuals needing training or to renew their training will be able to be access the training modules using a computer with a high-speed internet connection. Domestic Violence Prevention Training

Godly Play Training

The Diocese of Iowa has a Certified Godly Play Trainer available to offer trainings in this Christian Formation Philosophy for children. Contact Wanda Stahl at jowanda2@aol.com for more information.

 

 

Summer Ministry School and Retreat

This annual summer weekend at the Campus of Grinnell College features family-friendly fellowship, worship and classes in Spirituality, Liturgy, Church Leadership and the Arts. MORE>>.

 

 

E-Seminary

Utilizing the fiber optic cable network available statewide by the Iowa Communications Network, a series of weekly classes are offered twice each year. These classes are approved for credit through Episcopal Divinity School. MORE>>
