With the special challenges that providing  the program "on the inside" offers, and the limited incomes of the participants, your financial help is needed . A $230 donation from you will cover the costs of one student and go a long way to covering the total cost of $2732.00 for the 2010-2011 year. Donations can be sent to St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, P.O. 33, Anamosa, IA  52205. Make the check out to St. Mark’s and put EFM in the Memo line. Or contact The Rev. Anne Williams (St. Mark's, Anamosa 319-462-2933) or The Rev. Melody Rockwell (Christ, Cedar Rapids 319-363-2029), Diocesan Prison Ministry Team.

Third Thursdays
Third Thursdays at St. Paul’s: An opportunity for refreshment and renewal through the arts.
Each hour-long program invites people to meet God in a new way, with an art form as the catalyst for contemplation and meditation. Music, painting, photography, literature, gardening, floral arts, fiber arts—every creative endeavor springs from God and can be used as a means of prayer and praise.

Faith, Hope, and Whimsy - February 18, 5:15 p.m.
Writer Nancy Alice Morton takes a humorous look at life’s “oh-oh’s” to uncover both the “haha” and the “ah-ha” inside. A former home economist in South Dakota and food publicist in Chicago, Nancy came to Des Moines to edit cookbooks for Better Homes and Gardens. Over time her attention included food for thought and spirit as well as food for the body. Before retirement she edited Iowa Connections, the monthly newspaper for the Episcopal Diocese of Iowa. Today she is part of the meditations team for The Bridge Ministry of Downtown Churches and writes whimsical essays about faith and hope.
