May 2, 2008
From the Bishop

With a splash of holy water onto their “chariots” (I couldn’t find references to bikes in the Scriptures) the ten starting riders of the Waters of Hope set off out of Keokuk yesterday at 9am on the dot. MORE>>

The Project:  to raise $150,000 – $200,000 for clean water projects like chlorinators and deep water wells for the people of Swaziland and the Sudan. This is the 2008 annual Bishop’s appeal.

The Bike Ride May 1-11, 2008:  This 1,000 mile bike ride around Iowa is a 10-day event which will culminate on Pentecost, to raise money for clean water projects and to teach about the Millennium Development Goals along with life saving goodness from clean water.

Support the Bike Ride as it comes near or through your community.
