The Living Water Chapter

 

The Order of St. Luke  the Physician (OSL), is a world-wide interdenominational body of Christians who believe that the healing of the body, mind and spirit is a vital part of the total ministry of Jesus Christ.

 

The Living Water Chapter is the local chapter primarily for metro Des Moines.  Members come from as far away as Ames, and there is an effort to create an Ames chapter.  Membership is open to all Christian denominations.

 

Members individually work toward the goals embodied in the Order’s “Rule of the Order”  The focus is on prayer and reading. 

 

The chapter meets  The agenda includes sharing of experiences, time for reflection and study as well as anointing and intercessory prayer.  Meetings are  the third Monday of each month at St. Anne's Church,  2110 W First St., Ankeny IA 50023 7 pm The Living Water Chapter has also sponsored workshops and guest speakers to talk about healing in a variety of settings.

 

Beside the reasons for being part of the local chapter, the international  order offers other benefits.

The Order provides the structure and direction that makes spiritual growth possible.  Membership includes “Sharing Magazine” a rich and inspirational magazine that is provided to all members.  You also receive regular information about future local, regional and national meetings and workshops.  Speakers from around the nation and the world provide insight into our relationship with Christ and his healing power.
