The Diocese of Iowa is one of the 110 dioceses that are part of the Episcopal Church. The Episcopal Church is a member of the worldwide Anglican Communion, the churches around the world that trace their roots to the Church of England, and maintain a “communion” with it.
Presiding Bishop
The Most Rev. Dr. Katharine Jefferts Schori is the twenty-sixth Presiding Bishop. She was elected at the 75th General Convention on June 18, 2006 and invested at Washington National Cathedral on November 4, 2006.
